Head of Wetland Services

Andrea holds a M.Sc. in Natural Resource Sciences from McGill University along with an Ecological Restoration Professional Specialization Certificate from the University of Victoria. Her work has taken her across the Alberta prairies and boreal forest as well as into BC and Saskatchewan. Her passion for wetland ecology and belief in the power of native plants led her to join the team of experts at NPS in 2023.

She is experienced with provincial wetland policies, understanding legislation and guidelines across western Canada. Her wealth of knowledge and experience in natural upland and wetland ecosystems was gained through environmental impact assessments, pre-disturbance assessments, ecological restoration planning, mapping, and long-term monitoring projects and provides her with significant experience in the coordination and management of environmental projects and insight for the implementation of nature-based solutions.
