The existing 0.5 ha conventional stormwater pond at Sterling Lyon Business Park was enhanced into a naturalized system that utilizes native vegetation and a low-maintenance approach.

In addition to retro-fitting the conventional stormwater basin at the Sterling Lyon Business Park, 0.34 ha of native grasses were planted upslope of the basin. NPS provided a full range of services from advisory, consulting, and design to on-site basin commissioning, weed and erosion control, vegetation planting and monitoring, and post-establishment maintenance. Post-establishment maintenance included a prescribed burn, which was conducted in 2014.
